PKU Medicine Listed in the 8th "Shulan Medical Award"

Peking University, December 1: On November 20, 2021, the awarding ceremony of the 8th "Shulan Medicine Award", which attracted the attention of the medical, scientific and educational circles, was grandly held in Liangzhu, Hangzhou. Academician Zhan Qimin, president of the International Cancer Research Institute of Peking University, won the "Shulan Medicine Award". Professor Jiang Changtao, deputy director of the Department of Physiology and Pathology of Peking University Health Science Center (PKUHSC), Wei Yan, chief physician of Peking University Hospital of Stomatology, and Bai fan, researcher of Peking University Biomedical Frontier Innovation Center, School of Life Sciences and Peking University First Hospital, won "Shulan Medical Youth Award". Leaders and Scholars including academician Chen Zhu, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, academician Zheng Shusen, chairman of Shulan Fund, and academician Li Lanjuan attended the meeting and presented awards to the winners.

Academician Chen Zhu, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, highly praised the foresight and “gold content” of the Shulan Medical Award. He called on the whole medical community to take this opportunity to constantly strengthen academic exchanges, live up to its mission, work together in the course of historical progress, develop in the trend of the times, and make constant efforts to build a better and healthy future for mankind.
