Peking University, Apr.29, 2015: On April 22, 2015 Badminton Championship of Beijing Universities was wrapped up. PKU badminton team excels in the competition. Liao Ge from School of Economics and Yang Xiaoting from School of International Studies defeated many competitors, and finally won a gold medal for mixed doubles. Also, Men’s team vanquished Beijing Sport University and Beijing Jiaotong University, winning a team silver medal. Women’s team won a bronze medal.

           PKU Badminton Team members in the Championship

PKU is one of the nine universities to set up Badminton Associations of Chinese College Students. PKU Badminton Team, with vice professor Li zhigui as the coach, has grown stronger and stronger from the end of 1980s, enjoying nationwide reputation. PKU Badminton Team was formally established in 1993 and became the major representative team of PKU in 1996.

Mixed Doubles

PKU Badminton Team not only has won many medals, but also possesses fine sport traditions. In competitions, team members all do their best, cooperate closely and are extremely perseverant. In everyday life, they never ignore the importance of elementary training. They also try their best to maintain excellent academic performance.

Men's Doubles

Currently, PKU Badminton Team is maturing day by day and it now puts forward a more profound planning. Based on adequate training, this young but potential team is sure to fly up towards a higher and broader sky. This is not an castle in the air, but it is indeed what PKU Badminton Team is going to accomplish in the near future.
