Hiring for faculty positions at PKU is typically done by academic deans and department chairmen, and administered by offices for academic or faculty affairs at each school. Before an appointment is offered, it must be approved by the Council for Human Resources of the University.

Young talents Plan


This plan aims at attracting and selecting outstanding young and middle-aged scholars, and helps them become excellent academic leaders to attain and surpass or maintain the advanced world levels in their disciplines.


In this plan, the University offers an intellectually-stimulating and culturally-rich academic environment, with attractive remuneration packages. The initial appointment normally will be 3-6 year, and a contracted annual salary will be offered during their appointment period.


Applicants who apply for the position will be nominated by their host departments and selected by specific academic council. The selected candidates will be appointed by their host institutions.
